Project Description

Grade specific programs in natural sciences, environmental education and Michigan history provide students with numerous experiential activities. We offer programs on the life cycles of plants and animals and the identification/classification of mammals, birds and insects. Students may explore wetlands, a gravel pit, a beech maple forest or a prairie. At the pioneer log cabin and the 1870's farm house students experience the life of a 19th century farm child. Self-guided programs focus on inside exhibits and Michigan Habitats. (.6 mile accessible trail)
