Project Description

These hands-on, grade-specific programs which come to your site are designed for students to explore the natural world around them. Either live animals or study mounts are used in the presentations. Most classes use the school site habitat in the units. Teacher workshops such as science area school site development, using the school site to meet science objectives, Project Wild, and Project Learning are designed to meet the teachers' needs. Topics covered for classrooms: groundwater, recycling, physical sciences, birds, adaptations, cycles, wildlife issues.

Number: Classrooms/30 children maximum
Assemblies/120 children maximum
Cost: Classroom fees are based on program fee plus mileage. Assemblies/theatricals range from $125 to $200 per performance plus mileage.
Half-day teacher workshops $20 per person
Dates: Year round
