Robert Morris Park

The Robert Morris Park is only for Comstock township residents and their guests. The park opens on Memorial weekend and closes on Labor Day weekend.    In the summer it opens 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., but in July it's open till 9:00 P.M. Its address is 8415 East H Ave. It's located between 30th street and 33rd street.   Robert Morris Park's township residents and their guesthave to pay a small fee.   According to a survey done in 1993, Robert Morris Park was Comstock's favorite. It has a swimming dock, horseshoe courts, playground equipment, volleyball,   picnic shelters, and a sandy beach.  For many years free swimming lessons were given.  They are still given but at a small cost.

Robert Morris Park got its name  from Robert Morris a Comstock supervisor. He helped negotiate buying the land from Mr. and Mrs. Edward Fry for $75,000.00. Robert Morris was Comstock Township supervisor from 1966 to his sudden death in 1974.
