Chris Crawford was born May 13, 1975. His favorite foods when he was little were pizza and McDonald's. He also liked to hang out at the mall, spend money, and play all sports. The chores he had to do around the house were: clean his room, cut the grass, and take the dishes out of the dishwasher. He went to Comstock North Elementary, Northeast Middle School, and Comstock High School. Chris Crawford worked very hard in school to get good grades. He was inspired by his friends at Comstock High school to play basketball at the age of 16. His high school coach, Mr. Holmes, said that Chris's grade average was 3.0 (B average). His high school coach also said that Chris was a very good person, had a good attitude, and always worked hard. Chris made the high school varsity team easily.

College Years

Chris's second favorite sport was baseball. He was drafted by the Houston Astros and played baseball there for two summers. In college he could have gone to Penn State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina at Charlotte, or 97 other colleges. The college he chose was Marquette. At Marquette he fell on his head during a game in an awkward position and he was rushed to the hospital. The doctors didn't think he could play basketball ever again.(but he showed them, didn't he!) He was the seventh-leading three-point shooter in Marquette history. He made 85 out of 228 three-point attempts with an average of .373.

Now

Chris was the 51st pick in the second round in the 1997 N.B.A. draft. He was selected by the Atlanta Hawks. He made his N.B.A. debut scoring 6 points in 6 minutes in a 104-103 victory over the Sacramento Kings on November, 14 1997. Chris ' position is forward.
