Early Comstock Schools
The first Comstock school was started in 1831. For the building they used a former home. The school consisted of six pupils. Miss Betsy O. Comings taught and was paid $1.00 per week.
In 1833, Horace Comstock gave land for the Comstock Village School. Another teacher, Miss Betsy Percival, was the teacher until 1834.

In 1906,Comstock Schools were some of the first in Michigan to be consolidated. During this time children came to school in a horse and buggy.
In 1908 there was the first graduating class of eight people; Leon Miller, Gleason Allen, Raymond Warren, Clell Peer, Phoebee Nutton, Mable Bullard, Ethel Pease, and Rose Cretsinger. During that time there were 198 students and 6 teachers.
