The History of the Fire Trucks

f-truck-1.JPG (8516 bytes)Comstock's first fire truck was a 1933 Chevy Chemical Fire Truck which was later made into a combination pumper and tanker.  Many people in the community remember it as  "Daisy June."

f-truck-2.JPG (7887 bytes)Daisy June was replaced in 1943 with a 1943 Seagrave.  The Seagrave was ready for shipment to  Pearl Harbor   for the U.S.Navy at the time Comstock bought it.  The truck was rerouted from the Seagrave Corp. plant in Columbus, Ohio, to Kalamazoo and arrived by railroad flat car.

Comstock now owns 9 fire trucks.
