Bill Shields,
A Trustee
The elections for the 4
Trustees and the rest of the Comstock positions (Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer.) correspond
with the presidential election. All are 4 year terms, just like the president.
Being Trustees, William
Shields, Jeffrey Bogema, Shelly Cornell, and Ellen Eggleston sit at the township meetings
and make choices for the township. I interviewed only Bill Shields though. Mr.
Shields has been serving over 20 years as a Trustee. He enjoys each meeting because
every one brings new things. He said it's fun to see how the township is
running. He regrets that you can't please everyone, though. The four Trustees
have no ranks or positions. Meetings are the first and third Mondays of each month
at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Hall. Trustees receive reasonable pay for spending 3-4 hours per day going to meetings
and doing other work. Their job
also involves seeing that the township is running well. Sounds like a good part time job, doesn't it?
